The good news is that setting up a Facebook account for a business is simple, and you probably already have everything you need. Let’s get started.

What Is The Difference Between A Facebook Business Page And A Facebook Fan Page?

A Facebook Page is a public Facebook account that brands, organisations, artists, and public figures can use to promote themselves. Pages are used by businesses to offer contact information, post updates, share content, promote events and releases, and, probably most significantly, connect with their Facebook audiences.

How To Make A Business Facebook Page

You must first log onto your personal Facebook account before creating your Facebook Business Page. Don’t worry, your personal information will not be available to the public on your business Page.

This is due to the fact that each business Page is overseen by one or more administrators. People with personal Facebook profiles serve as administrators. Your personal account functions as a key to unlock your new business Page. If you have team members who are assisting you with your Page, their personal accounts will unlock their individual roles and skills as well.

So, if you haven’t already, join your personal account and begin the Page creation process.

The First Step Is To Register.

Go to facebook.com/pages/create to get started.

On the left-hand side, enter your company’s details. The page preview on the right will refresh in real-time as you do so.

Use your company name or a name that people are likely to look for when seeking to locate your company for your page name.

Type a word or two that characterizes your business in the category field, and Facebook will recommend several alternatives. You have the option of selecting up to three of the suggestions.

Fill in the Description field next. This is a brief summary that shows in the search results. It should only be a few sentences long (maximum 255 characters).

Click Create Page after you’re satisfied with your description.

Step 2: Insert Images

After that, you’ll add a profile picture and a cover photo to your Facebook Page. It’s crucial to make a good first impression visually, so choose cautiously. Make sure the photographs you chose are consistent with your brand and immediately identified as belonging to your company.

You’ll start by uploading your profile photo. This graphic appears next to your company name in search results and when users engage with you. It’s also visible in the upper left corner of your Facebook page.

Using your logo is definitely the safest option if you have a well-known brand. A picture of your face will work wonders if you’re a star or famous figure. Try a well-shot snapshot of your signature offering if you’re a local business. The most important thing is to make it as easy as possible for a potential follower or buyer to recognize your page.

Your profile image should be 170 × 170 pixels, as explained in our post on the ideal image sizes for all social networks. Because it will be cropped to a circle, don’t put any important information in the corners.

Click Add Profile Picture once you’ve found a nice photo.

It’s now time to select your Facebook cover image, which will be the most visible image on your Page.

A pop-up box will appear when you click Save, asking if you wish to link your business to WhatsApp. This is optional, however, it allows you to include a WhatsApp button on your page or send users to WhatsApp using Facebook ads.

Click Send Code if you wish to link your business to WhatsApp. Close the window if you don’t want to connect to WhatsApp. Another pop-up box will appear, asking whether you’re sure. We’ll hit Leave for now because we’re skipping this.

Step 4: Make A Username For Yourself.

Your username, often known as your vanity URL, is the address where others can find you on Facebook.

Your username can be up to 50 characters long, but don’t overdo it merely to be different. You’ll want it to be simple to type and remember. Your company name, or a clear version of it, is a secure bet.

On the Page preview, click Create Username to create your username.

Fill in the name you’d want to use. If it’s accessible, Facebook will notify you. You’re good to go if you obtain a green checkmark. Select Create Username from the drop-down menu.

Step 5: Fill Up The Blanks With Your Company’s Information.

While you may be tempted to save the details for later, it’s critical to fill out all of the fields in the About section of your Facebook Page right away.

Because Facebook is frequently the first place a buyer looks for information about you, having everything it is critical. For example, if someone is looking for a business that is open till 9 p.m., they will want to check your Page for this information. To add a CTA, click the blue Add Button button, then select the type of button you want.

You can always go back and do these steps if you don’t want to right now. Simply scroll down to Edit Page Info in the Manage Page menu on the left.

You can choose to unpublish your Facebook Business Page if you wish to take it offline while you work on the details. Click Settings, then General, from the Manage Page menu. Change the status of the page to Page unpublished by clicking Page Visibility.

Step 6: Write Your First Article.

Before you start inviting people to like your business’s Facebook page, you should first create some useful content. You can write your own pieces or share useful content from industry thought leaders.
